‘Full house in the heat’ KT sells out 3rd home game of the season against KIA

The sweltering weather couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of baseball fans. KT Wiz sold out its third home game of the season.

“The home game against KIA in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at KT Wiz Park in Suwon sold out all 18,700 seats at 4:50 p.m.,” KT announced on Monday. This is the third time this year that Suwon KT Wiz Park has been filled to capacity without an empty seat, following the regular season opener against the LG Twins on April 1 and the Lotte Giants on May 13.안전놀이터

A 6-2 win by KIA the day before wiped out the gap between seventh-ranked KT and eighth-ranked KIA, and the fact that two of the league’s best pitchers, Ko Young-pyo and Lee Yi-ri, would be facing off in the starting lineup, likely contributed to the sellout. Online tickets were sold out early, and even on-site tickets were sold out before kickoff.

On the other hand, KIA will start left-hander Lee “Young Gun” Lee on the mound, aiming to secure a fourth straight win and a sweep of the series. KT, looking to avenge the previous day’s loss, sent their ‘native ace’ Ko Young-pyo to the mound.
