“Get out of the museum”…SK Group files lawsuit against museum director Noh So-young

SK Group has filed a lawsuit against Art Center Nabi, run by Noh So-young, who is in the midst of divorce proceedings with Chairman Choi Tae-won, to vacate the building.

According to legal sources on the 23rd, SK Innovation recently filed a lawsuit for the delivery of real estate against Art Center Nabi at the Seoul Central District Court Civil Division 36 (Chief Judge Jang Jang-hak).

Art Center Nabi, which opened in 2000, is a media art museum located on the fourth floor of SK Seorin Building, the headquarters of SK Group in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The building is owned by SK Real Estate Trust (SK REIT), which leased it to SK Innovation, which in turn leased it to Art Center Navi. In 2019, SK Innovation reportedly filed a lawsuit to repair the building as its contract with Art Center Navi ended.

The lawsuit opens a new front in the divorce battle between Choi and Noh. In 2015, Choi announced his intention to file for divorce against Noh, citing that he had a child out of wedlock. The two went through mediation proceedings in July and November 2017, but when they failed to reach a negotiated divorce, they filed for divorce.

The Seoul Family Court, which served as the first instance메이저사이트, granted their divorce in December last year, ruling that “Chairman Choi should pay Ms. Noh 100 million won in alimony and 665 million won in property division.” Choi’s shares in SK holdings were excluded from the property division. The tribunal concluded that “it is difficult to say that Mr. Noh contributed substantially to the formation, maintenance, and increase of the value of SK holdings.”

The divorce proceedings have now moved to the second round, with Noh appealing the decision, arguing that “the exclusion of SK holdings from the property division is unacceptable.” Recently, Choi and Noh’s three children filed petitions with the court in succession. It is not known what the petitions contained.
